Meet like-minded people, enjoy the conversation over wine, and read together! Furthermore, we will read for a good cause as 60% profits will be donated to The Pomegranate Project, run by Action for Women, a women’s rights organisation supporting refugee and asylum-seeking women.

BC book club community in Athens has been reading together since 2018. At BC, we believe in the transformative power of fiction to expand our hearts and minds and to help us build bridges to embrace more of humanity.

Good Cause

Action for Women is an Athens-based women’s rights organisation with an all-women team and management supporting refugee and asylum-seeking women’s recovery, resilience and re-integration.

The Pomegranate Project is the first of its kind holistic protection and empowerment model in Greece for refugee and asylum-seeking women at risk, and survivors of, gender-based violence to meaningfully support their recovery, resilience and reintegration.

Monthly Donation Report
"I believe a good book club is like theatre, in the words of Es Devlin: ‘...A temporary society, a community that arrives in one state, sits closely together, in thought, and departs in an altered state, the architecture of their minds redrawn by new thoughts and feelings.’ Join us at BC to create this magic together, to shape our collective journey of discovery and growth."
